In 2004 Teresa and Bob Harris arrived with their daughter Gabby.  They fell in love with the house at the viewpoint at Chez Blet, especially its marvellous views over the Vienne river and the surrounding countryside.  Needless to say they quickly named it Viewpoint House.  It is the house on the right just when you reach the top of the hill leaving Availles Limouzine in the direction of L'Isle Jourdain. They have renovated the house turning it into a confortable family house and a Chambre d'Hotes run by Teresa.  Bob has a garden maintenance business.

The chambre d'hotes comprises two rooms,  one of which is suitable for people having restricted mobility. A welcome awaits all visitors and as a result they have a good record for repeat visits. Obviously they attract a good number of people visiting the race track at Le Vigeant.

Teresa makes a point of ensuring that all are made welcome. She is always prepared to provide meals or just tea/coffee and cakes.  The latter has proved very popular with the locals, especially the French inhabitants of the area, who are frequently seen there in the afternoons..

They organise quiz nights on a monthly basis (see the entertainment event calendar for more details). These are run by Margaret and Charlie Ager, from Mauprevoir, with Teresa providing sandwiches, cakes and drinks during the interval at half time.  All are welcome and normally between 20 and 40 turn up for each evening. The best team wins a prize and the team providing support for all the others (coming last) are given a consolation prize.

Now nearly seven years after they moved here they are five,  as Teresa has to divide her time between the guests and her two young children of 3 and 6 years of age.

Their plans for the future include development of a clay pigeon shooting range and golf practice.
