The informal motorcycle club based at the L'Eau Vive in St Germain de Confolens had a memorial run on the 5th May to commemorate the life of Jack Taylor.  Jack lived in  Lessac and was the founder member of the Club and died one year ago (5th May). He was a member of the club for nearly six years. He was also very involved in "The Jumbo Run" which takes place in June every year in this area.  This is a charity event for handicapped and mentally disabled children and adults.  They enjoy rides in the motorbikes and take part in an evening function including a meal and a disco. This year it is centred in Brillac on the weekend of 17th - 19th June.

The commemorative run included his widow, Ellen who was collected by a car. The car passengers and the motorbike riders went to St. Mathieu for lunch. A very nice day was had by all and they all enjoyed the glorious weather.
