Partial eclipse of the sun

The sun had started to disappear at 9:05. The fog let the sun shine for several minutes.Le soleil était disparu, à 9:05.  Le brume a laissé passer le soleil pour quelques instants .

Official opening of Village Hall Availles Limouzine

The opening of the new village hall in Availles Limouzine was marked by an invitation to all the inhabitants of the village to participate in its opening.  The mayor and the councillors were there to welcome everybody who came to witness this important event.

 Today I heard the sound of hundreds of cranes circling over our house in their migration north. Spring can not be far behind.

Of chickens and eggs

Milk deliveries have finished many years ago, but Availles Limouzine and the surrounding area has an egg and honey home delivery service run by Guillaume and Nathalie Van Beers.

Quiz night at Viewpoint House, Availles Limouzine, 8th July at 7pm.  Teams of four people, 5 euros per person, includes entry fee, sandwiches and home-made cakes. 

Winning team each get a bottle of wine, loosers get a booby prize.
